The project of renovations of the D/E Connector, starting at the Atrium and encompassing the primary circulation path of the eastern portion of the Passenger Terminal Building to the end of the existing moving walkways and all areas south of that path, up to the Concourse C Connector. The project includes the following:
a) Repositioning the major passenger circulation route of the D/E connector between the Atrium to the end of the moving walkways at the approach of Concourse D;
b) Relocating the airline lounge space from the departure level to an upper-level location while expanding it to 40,000 square feet;
c) Providing a new passenger destination and experience at the departures level that will provide increased financial returns to the airport; and
d) Providing service area at the apron level to help with operations within the DECO area.
Provide the necessary labor and equipment to relocate furniture, equipment, and miscellaneous items from the Airport Terminal and other various Airport properties. Moving equipment should include all necessary moving trucks, forklifts, storage containers, ladders. The Facilities Division of CLT maintains portfolio buildings, including terminals, offices, fire stations, tenant occupied spaces, and equipment shops. The intent of this solicitation is to select multiple companies to provide general contractor services for various airport properties on an as needed basis. The scope of services is required to assist the airport with renovations, remodels, and maintenance of existing facilities. Expenditures for each task estimated not to exceed $30,000 but companies may be assigned multiple tasks under the contract. The company shall provide services at various locations as needed. The city may solicit a quote for general contractor services from one or more companies prior to assigning an individual project.
The Joint Operations Center design project at Charlotte Douglas International Airport will modify the existing building (South Cargo 6 – Building 228) to provide for the permanent joint operations facility location. The facility will be multi-functional to accommodate Operations (AOC, AEOC, direct support spaces, and administrative offices) and potential support for CMPD, TSA, and K-9 teams. The facility will be upgraded to the necessary structural upgrades, redundant power backups, fiber optic connections, and security requirements.
The scope of this contract shall be to provide aviation ground support equipment for airport operation services. The term will be 3 years with the option to renew for 2 additional one year terms.
The purpose of this contract is to perform roof replacement and building envelope repairs for two buildings located at 4800 and 4814 West Boulevard, Charlotte, North Carolina. Estimated term to be less than one year.
The scope of this contract shall be to provide personal mobility equipment lifts and installation services for passenger boarding bridges. Contract term will be 2 years.
Procurement of and Federal Aviation Administration Remote Transmitter Receiver (RTR) towers with the following attachments or appurtenances: a platform at the top of the tower, antenna mount arms, a climbing ladder, safety climb system, coax/waveguide ladder, obstruction light, lightning protection and grounding kit and foundation embedment.

Procurement of a 12’ x 36’ precast concrete utility shelter to house electrical and communications equipment supporting the FAA’s RTR radar site. The shelter will be fabricated off-site with minimal field fabrication requirements and will be constructed in accordance with all local and state building codes.
