HVAC Parts and Equipment

The City of Charlotte extends an invitation for the submission of Bids to supply the City of Charlotte with HVAC apparatus, supplies, materials, and equipment.

The scope of this Invitation to Bid (ITB) is to establish a contract for the purchase, delivery and other inherently related activities of the Products.

All Products and component parts furnished shall be new, and shall comply with the specifications and terms and conditions set forth in this ITB.

Old City Hall – ADA Implementation

This solicitation will be used for addressing the physical barriers identified in the city’s ADA Transition Plan. Areas include but are not limited to; restrooms, water fountains, signage, handrails/guardrails, doors & hardware, main lobby service area, exterior sidewalks, parking, and striping.

Plumbing & Miscellaneous Supplies

This contract will provide plumbing and related supplies including, but not limited to, small tools, chemicals, adhesives, sealants, tape, safety, fasteners, plumbing repair parts and any accessories and related components necessary for new, retrofit or repairs at various city facilities.

Humidification System Services

The City of Charlotte maintains high-profile cultural centers containing timeless pieces of artwork. The conditions at each location must preserve and protect the artwork therein. Central to this effort is the maintenance of the humidification control systems and water treatment equipment.

This solicitation seeks out qualified companies that have a strong track record of maintaining complex humidification control systems and water treatment equipment.

The selected company will maintain and service the city’s existing systems and equipment at the following locations:

*The Bechtler Museum of Modern Art (420 S Tryon St, Charlotte, NC 28202)

*The Mint Museum (500 S Tryon St, Charlotte, NC 28202)

*The Harvey B. Gantt Center (551 S Tryon St, Charlotte, NC 28202)

The selected company must provide 24-hour callbacks, and an on-site response time of no more than two hours (including weekends) at no additional charge.

Beatties Ford Sidewalk Phase 1

This project will improve the curbs, driveway, sidewalks and ramps for Beatties Ford Road between Russell Avenue and Lasalle Street. Concrete shall be 6-inch Portland cement, asphalt shall be two-inch course and four-inch intermediate course. Gravel shall be six-inch incidental stone. Limits of proposed slopes are indicated in the plans. The contractor shall maintain erosion control devices in accordance with the appropriate city and state erosion and sediment control ordinances. Contractor shall sawcut existing asphalt and/or concrete surfaces prior to removal unless otherwise directed by the engineer. Project length is 0.281 miles.

Fleet and Aviation Parts Outsourcing

The City is seeking a qualified vendor to provide on-site inventories of vehicle and equipment parts. Vendor must administer and manage multiple inventory storerooms at City operated fleet maintenance facilities.

Old City Town Hall Roof Replacement project

Removal and disposal of all existing asphalt built-up roof system, metal flashings, and counter flashings. Existing metal wall panels and balustrades are to remain. Furnish and install new single ply PVC roof system consisting of new flat and tapered polyisocyanurate insulation, gypsum cover board, fully adhered 50 mil PVC membrane and all flashings, wood blocking and metal flashings. Furnish and install new liquid applied drain re-lining at two (2) existing overflow drains and drain leaders. Remove and reinstall all existing surveillance and electrical equipment needed to complete the reroofing work.  All disturbed rooftop equipment is be returned to original functionality after completion of the roofing project. Removal and disposal of all existing asphalt built-up roof system, metal flashings, counter flashings, gutters and downspouts. Furnish and install new single ply PVC roof system consisting of new flat and tapered polyisocyanurate insulation, gypsum cover board, fully adhered 60 mil PVC membrane and all flashings, wood blocking, metal flashings, gutters and downspouts. Remove existing metal roof panels in a manner that will allow for re- installation without damage. Install new high-temperature underlayment and re-install existing metal roof panels. Incorporate metal roof panels into above and below single ply roofing systems.

Tracked Crawler Articulated Aerial Boom Lift (Spider Lift)

Landscape Management’s landscape operations group maintains more than 1,500 acres of landscaping across more than 200 city properties, including operational, administrative, and community facilities; vacant parcels; nearly 1,000 medians; and six public spaces (Arequipa Park, Crescent Park, Five Points Public Plaza, The Green at Prosperity Village, The Ritz at Washington Heights and Thomas Polk Park). The group also installs new landscaping and controls excessive vegetation growth.

The Landscape Management Division seeks to establish a contract for a one-time purchase of a Tracked Crawler Articulated Aerial Boom Lift (Spider Lift) from a qualified vendor. The contract will be for the purchase, delivery, and labor-related maintenance in compliance with the specifications and terms and conditions outlined in the Invitation To Bid.

Flooring and Wallcovering Services

The City of Charlotte is soliciting for flooring and wallcovering to include vinyl flooring, tile, carpet, rubber and linoleum, wood products, wallpaper and any other materials that are needed in City-owned or operated facilities.

Related services include installation, removal and reclamation, and recycling as requested. Facilities Operations is responsible for maintaining more than 200 buildings and 4.4 million square feet of office space. Any vendors selected for award are expected to have the adequate capacity to provide all-inclusive services as needed.
