Repositioning the major passenger circulation route of the D/E connector between the Atrium to the end of the moving walkways at the approach of Concourse D. Relocating the airline lounge space from the departure level to an upper-level location while expanding it to 40,000 square feet. Providing a new passenger destination and experience at the departures level that will provide increased financial returns to the airport. Providing a service area at the apron level to help with operations within the DECO area.
Charlotte Water (CLTWater) will be soliciting Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) from qualified engineering firms(s) to provide On-Call Construction Administration & Inspection Services for miscellaneous projects. Task Orders will be issued against the contract for each project. Projects may be for water
or sewer projects and may focus on pipeline, lift stations, pump stations, water tanks, treatment plant work, vertical building construction or any combination thereof.
The project consists of renovations of the public areas of Concourse E, including concourse circulation areas, hold rooms, and toilet rooms.
Items specifically included in the public area renovations are as follows:
• New carpet in the hold rooms, New terrazzo in circulation corridors and toilet rooms
• Complete renovation of all existing toilet rooms
• New general lighting and accent lighting
• Fire protection in selected areas
• Electrical modifications, including powered seating
• New signage and wayfinding to align with current CLT standards
• Replacement of Air Handling Units
The Central Energy Plant is part of the Terminal Lobby Expansion Construction Management at Risk Project.
Provide for design of space for a new central energy plant to be located on the first level. The central energy plant will be for the New Terminal Expansion, but will also include space for current and future infield development.
Provide design and construction administration services for the second and third phase gate expansions to Concourse A.
