2024 NBIS Bridge Inspection Program -Qualifying

The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) mandates that bridges and culverts be inspected every two years. Bridges are inspected for structural adequacy, safety, and functionality. Over the next two years, the City Council will see contracts for the design and construction of needed repairs related to these inspection contracts.

2024 NBIS Bridge Inspection – Non-Qualifying

Design of Bridge Repairs

Based on repair needs identified in Inspection Reports, the Consultant shall prepare technical plans and specifications (“Construction Documents”) for the required repairs to the City’s bridges. The Consultant shall prepare two (2) bid documents (including one for guardrail work) that shall include the technical
plans and specifications for the bid packages for each bridge, as well as bid information/requirements for potential contractors. The Consultant shall plan completion dates for each bridge so that all bridge repairs will be completed by the contractor before the beginning of the next inspection cycle.

Professional Engineering Services for Pipeline Rehabilitation and Construction Inspection Services

Charlotte Water is soliciting Statement of Qualifications from a qualified engineering firm to provide survey, design, contract administration, and construction management (if necessary) of multiple pipeline replacement projects and other General Services as requested by the City. All work will be located within the Charlotte Water service area. The projects will be assigned to the Engineer during the course of the contract period as they become available. Projects may vary in size, length and scope, and are to be completed according to the individual project schedule.

FY24-26 Engineering Consulting On Call Services

Charlotte Water is soliciting Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) from qualified engineering firms to provide on-call miscellaneous engineering services for various projects.  Charlotte Water is seeking firms whose combination of experience and personnel will provide timely, cost-effective, and quality professional services to support these projects.

Professional Engineering Services for Emergency and Routine Repair Services

Charlotte Water is soliciting Statement of Qualifications from qualified engineering firms to provide survey, design, contract administration, construction inspection services, and other engineering services as requested.  The engineering services requested will be for routine and emergency water distribution and collection system repair projects.

On-Call Construction Administration and Inspection Services

Charlotte Water (CLTWater) will be soliciting Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) from qualified engineering firms(s)  to provide On-Call Construction Administration & Inspection Services for miscellaneous projects. Task Orders will be issued against the contract for each project. Projects may be for water
or sewer projects and may focus on pipeline, lift stations, pump stations, water tanks, treatment plant work, vertical building construction or any combination thereof.

Resident Project Representative/Construction Inspection Services 

The Charlotte-Douglas International Airport (CLT) is seeking to engage the services of a qualified Aviation consultant, to provide Resident Project Representative/Construction Inspection (RPR) Services for various projects. These projects may include, but are not limited to pavement projects (new, extended and/or rehabilitated pavements for runway, taxiway, and apron areas), auto parking lot improvements, roadway improvements, airfield
lighting and NAVAIDs improvements, airfield fuel system improvements, airfield signage improvements, demolition of airfield improvements, aircraft hangars, utility infrastructure development and upgrades, and other similar airport related projects. The work also will include vertical construction work such as new Terminals and Concourses, rehabilitations to Terminals and Concourses, various aviation support facilities (fire stations, cargo and catering buildings, etc) with scopes of work that include foundations, steel framing, mechanical, electrical, plumbing and security systems, baggage handling systems, IT infrastructure, and building finishes.

Project Management Services

The Charlotte-Douglas International Airport (CLT) is seeking to engage the services of a qualified Aviation Consultant to provide Project Management (PM) Services for various projects. These projects may include, but are not limited to airfield/civil works, passenger handling facilities and other aviation support facilities, such as; Terminal Lobby Expansion, Central Energy Plant, Federal Inspection Station Renovations, , Concourse A Expansion Phase 2, Terminal and Concourse Renovations, Atrium and Terminal Life Safety
Enhancements, E Concourse Expansion Phase 9, Tenant (Concession and Retail) Renovations, and new runway and taxiways and associated work, major utility infrastructure work, roads and bridges, airfield lighting and Navigation Aids, fire stations, and cargo and catering building improvements.
