Erwin Road and Byrum Drive Intelligent Transportation System Project

The Erwin Road ITS Project includes the installation of approximately 0.8 miles of fiber optic cable in new directionally bored conduit. This project also includes fiber optic cable splicing and testing. The project limits are Erwin Road and South Tryon Street to Erwin Road and Steele Creek Road in Charlotte, Mecklenburg County, NC. The Byrum Drive ITS Project includes the installation of approximately 2.7 miles of fiber optic cable in new directionally bored and trenched conduit and aerial fiber attachments to wood utility poles. This project also includes fiber optic cable splicing and testing. The project limits are West Boulevard/Steel Creek Road/Byrum Drive along Byrum Drive to Yorkmont Road/Byrum Drive and along Yorkmont Road to West Boulevard/Yorkmont Road and along West Boulevard to Billy Graham Parkway in Charlotte, Mecklenburg County, NC.

Beatties Ford Sidewalk Phase 1

This project will improve the curbs, driveway, sidewalks and ramps for Beatties Ford Road between Russell Avenue and Lasalle Street. Concrete shall be 6-inch Portland cement, asphalt shall be two-inch course and four-inch intermediate course. Gravel shall be six-inch incidental stone. Limits of proposed slopes are indicated in the plans. The contractor shall maintain erosion control devices in accordance with the appropriate city and state erosion and sediment control ordinances. Contractor shall sawcut existing asphalt and/or concrete surfaces prior to removal unless otherwise directed by the engineer. Project length is 0.281 miles.

Mallard Creek Road Intelligent Transportation System Project

The Mallard Creek Road ITS Project includes the installation of approximately 0.65 miles of fiber optic cable in new directionally bored and trenched conduit and aerial attachments to wood utility poles. This project includes the installation of 1 owner furnished traffic management camera. This project also includes fiber splicing and testing. The project limits are from Medical Plaza to Governor Hunt Drive in Charlotte, Mecklenburg County, NC.

Unspecified Traffic Signal Installation and Maintenance FY2023B

This contract is for Task Order based new Traffic Signal Installations and modifications to existing Traffic Signals at several intersections and roadways that are maintained by the City of Charlotte and North Carolina Department of Transportation on an “as needed” basis. This contract also includes fiber-optic cable installation, splicing and testing.

Unspecified Traffic Signal Installation and Maintenance FY2023A

The City operates and maintains 775 traffic signals throughout the City of Charlotte and ensures maintenance is performed on all traffic signals every 12 to 18 months. The contracts will provide maintenance of traffic signals for all  traffic signals in the City. Work includes installation and confirming correct operation of all components.

Specialized Roadway Construction Services FY23A

This unspecified contract will provide horizontal construction services on an as-needed basis to the General Services Department. The work includes: traffic control; erosion control; clearing and grading; drainage; milling; asphalt paving; pavement markings; retaining wall; concrete curb, sidewalk, and driveways; pedestrian refuge island, and wheelchair ramps; utility relocation and installations; and related activities.

North End Around Taxiway Early Cabling Project has been combine – CANCELLED

One of seven remaining bid packages within the North End Around Taxiway Program. The construction of the NEAT Early Cabling Project provides for temporary direct-buried power cables from the existing power transformer at the existing RW 36C Approach Localizer Emergency Generator to the existing transformer at the existing Runway 18C Approach Glideslope Shelter in locations with minimal impacts from the proposed NEAT 1st Package construction within the NEAT program.
